The Rondinelle President has revealed that he has set the price for the attacking-midfielder at €5 million, and believes that it will be stupid for the matter to go to a blind auction.
Brescia President has urged Bologna to acquire the full ownership in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alessandro-c4710 Diamanti for €5m, and has stressed that it will be shame if his reasonable offer is followed by a blind bid.
The Italian international is currently co-owned by both the outfits, which are yet to decide on a method to resolve the shared ownership deal between them.
Bologna want to acquire the full ownership in the player after Diamanti’s promising season with them, but are having trouble in agreeing a fee with their co-owners to complete the transfer.
Brescia chief Luigi Corioni stressed that he has put forward a very fair price for Diamanti, but stated that the attitude of Bologna authorities baffles him.
The Rondinelle President revealed that he has proposed a very reasonable price of €5 million for the other half of the attacking midfielder’s contract held by his club.
The Biancoazzurri patron mentioned that Bologna have asked for more time to consider the proposition, which he believes is very fair offer and should not face any such delays.
Corioni stressed that considering the reasonability of his proposed price to the co-owners, it will be a shame if the negotiations had to end with the customary blind auction.
While talking to the press, the Brescia President said:
“There is only a small difference between demand and offer, but I’m surprised by how Bologna are behaving. I said they can have him for €5m and they asked me to give them some time to think about it. The difference is minimal…I have never gone to a blind
auction for a player during my Presidency and it would be stupid if we had to go to the envelopes…”
Bologna bought half-share in Diamanti in the last summer, and the attacking midfielder responded with seven goals in the 30 appearances for his team in the 2011-12 season.
The Biancoazzurri midfielder is included in Cesare Prandelli's final squad for the European tournament, and is a participant of the ongoing Euro 2012.
