Celtic to bid £1 million for Everton’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/James-Vaughan-c17722
Recent reports reveal that Celtic are prepared to bid £1 million for James Vaughan, the Everton striker.
Vaughan is known for being the youngest goal scorer in the English Premier League when he scored in the 2004-2005 season at the age of 16. Since then however, his career has been plagued with injury and he has not been able to maintain a regular place in
the squad.
Everton manager, David Moyes, has been approached by several clubs for a loan deal, but he has made it clear he wants a permanent deal for Vaughan.
He has been on loan to quite a few sides, being loaned out to the likes of Derby County, Leicester City and Crystal Palace.
In the first half of this season he has 13 goals and has been consistently impressive. In the Everton side, he has to compete with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Victor-Anichebe-c36018, and Jermaine Beckford.
Harry Redknapp dismisses any signings during the January transfer window
Tottenham manager, Harry Redknapp, admitted that there were no chances of the Spurs signing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Beckham-c10432, or any other player for that matter, during the January transfer window.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 captain has been practicing with the English Premier League side ahead of the start of the MLS season.
Redknapp was hopeful he could bring Beckham to White Hart Lane on a loan deal, but that does not seem to be possible.
Redknapp revealed that a deal could not be agreed with LA Galaxy. He said while speaking to reporters, “David has to be back there (http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/America-c38390) in February and there's not a lot of time, which is a shame He has been good to have around and he really is a class
act, a fantastic professional and a credit to the game who we are delighted to have training with us.”
Redknapp said he was pleased to have Beckham training with the squad and hinted there might be a possibility the star midfielder could feature for the Spurs against QPR reserves midweek.
However, he went on to say that unless he found a player, who would definitely improve the squad, he would not be willing to spend in the transfer window.
Redknapp said he was happy with his squad, “At the moment we are not close to doing anything really, and unless I can find people to improve us it is really not worth taking them. Unless I feel they can play a real part and help the squad then I am happy
with what we've got. We've got a good squad of players and it's got to be somebody that makes a real difference”.
