Diamanti further mentioned, “Many things went wrong this season at Brescia, otherwise we wouldn’t have gone down. We’re a good squad and it’s truly a shame to end this way. I come from Prato, so returning to that area and playing in Florence would be fantastic.
In the past there was never anything concrete, but I hope that something can come of it.”
The former West Ham United man was also excited at the prospect of playing alongside his former team-mate, Valon Behrami. Diamanti and Behrami were teammates at Upton Park after which the Swiss International made a move to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 in 2011.

The Italian International concluded by saying, “Fiorentina are a great side and Valon Behrami is a good friend. I was the one who advised him to make the move from West Ham to Florence. I also confessed that I’d like to play alongside him for Fiorentina.”
Brescia finished 19th on the table with 32 points and got relegated alongside AS Bari and Sampdoria. Fiorentina ended up taking ninth spot on the table.
