The Windies faltered during their second innings, with Samuels top-scoring with 76. They only managed 165, setting the home team a meagre target of 108 runs, which they completed in 31 overs, at the expense of just one wicket.
Bresnan’s performance enabled him to climb up to a career-best ranking of number 15 on http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625’s list of top Test bowlers, and his unbeaten 39 also boosted him up to 71st on the list of Test batsmen.
