Brett Burton and Jason Porplyzia?

2 huge injuries today against the 'pies at the G, how do you reckon that would effect the Crows' chance of being contenders in the finals?

They are the crows Top 2 Goal scorers this year.

Porps dislocated his shoulder i think, and Burton was strechered off with what looked like an ugly Knee injury...

  1. I saw both injuries and i knew when i saw porps injury i thought 1-2 weeks but coz he previously had the same injury be4, but we have 3players who have the same injury i knew he was in serious trouble, i dont think we will win many more games now coz of the injurys BUT if Hentschel, Jericho, Walker join in we have a big chance i think Tippet needs to step up abit more otherwise i think he will get omit sooner rather than later n the above players will be in

  2. Porplyzia has had trouble with his shoulder in the past, I'm not sure if he dislocated the same one (right shoulder, I think.) If he has he could need surgery and be out for the year.

I'm not sure about Burton, but if he's gone for the year Adelaide's forward line would look worse than it already is.

Goodwin would possibly have to play permanent forward and Tippet would have a massive job at FF, a big ask for a kid with only a handful of games. What's the story with McGregor, could they play him next week?

I hope they are fine come finals though, they'd be pretty tough to beat full strength

Right now I'd think they'd be missing Welsh and Perrie.

  3. Brett Burton's knee injury doesn't look good and might keep him out for the rest of the season.

Jason Porplyzia's dislocated shoulder will probably keep him out for 4-6 weeks and it was the same shoulder that was taped up.

Adelaide will need to step up a notch to cover for the 2 injuries. They will probably be relying on the likes of Scott Thompson and Simon Goodwin while Burton and Porplyzia are gone.

  4. Sorry about the loss mate, it was a good game.

Burton's injury didn't look to good, the poor guy, he won't be back for a while.

I didn't see Porplyzia's injury, but these two are very important to the Crows, and if they aren't playing, it definitely will affect the team. I think the Crows can still play finals, but maybe the top four is out of reach now. They need a win next week if they are going to be serious contenders in the finals this year.

EDIT: They said that Porplyzia is out for 4-6 weeks. Burton could be longer.

  5. big loses  porps 4-6 weeks burton long then that

  6. Burtons season is over and porps should be back in 4 weeks.

I can't see adelaide securing a spot in the top 4 this season but when porps is back, they should keep their spot in the 8 and possibly go deep into the finals.
