Brett Farve, is the Jets move good or bad as far as you are concerned?

Is there enough there for him to make a run. I was thinking of other teams like Minn with the #1 rushing. Phil Steele picks them to move back to the 2nd slot in division and the team had the least hurt players with only 28 missed starts. Steele figured GB wold go back to the SB with farve this year so wonder how much of a difference it will make.

  1. Good for the Jets, bad for the Packers chances, THIS YEAR, I put emphasis on this because it will help their chances down the road. They are dealing with the end of the farve era now rather than later.

  2. TRUTHFULLY, with the way our country is going to h**l in a hand basket!!! I couldn't care less about the sports world, Look what happened in china, one of the entrants. Father was murdered, And here we are having the olympics in a commis country, was there no where in the USA where we could have had this!! would have been grate economy for the USA, and possibly no one murdered, Ya think after the murders in Munich, we would have gotten a clue, I find this a most horrible happening!! disgraceful! indeed

  3. I think it was a bad move in no way going to the jets is good for any one but I understand that with Aaron Rodgers they needed to make him the starter this season or  he would not resign for the future

  4. I dont think it was a good move for the Jets. They want a quick fix and Favre aint it!

  5. well I don't think it could have gotten any worse for them after only winning 4 games last season but I do think Favre being on their rosters helps them out a bit; at least offensively/. I still don't see them making the playoffs or wildcard.

  6.   Jets made a terrible move. Pennington was a good qb, but he has his ups, and downs while Kellen Clemens is learning the offense. I think the Jets would've been better off with a free agent like Culpepper, or Leftwich. These people are veterans like Favre, but they can last more years then him. Brett Favre probably has a few years left until he REALLY retires, and if not then I guess he wants to be the next Vinny Testaverde.

  7. jets 4-12 status was due to injuries from what i saw of them getting favre wasn't a plus or minus he should do fine though with jets beefing up the O-line and coles returning to the lineup as #1 WR injured most of last year. so favre has 2 good WR plus rookie TE Keller

  8. It was such a bad decision IMO. They let go of Pennington, and now the Dolphins have him. Right now, the Dolphins have an awesome QB squad. I'm hoping to see Favre get crushed by Pennington in the season opener, not only because the Jets made a dumb move, but because I'm also a Dolphins fan.

  9. If anything Brett Favre brings a winning personality to the team.. Even if he struggles this year with the new playbook, his presence should inspire better play from the Jets as a team..

  10. bad, im a bills fan so i hope that he does horrible!

  11. The Farve acquisition is positive for two reasons:  you have a good QB and could justify shipping Pennington to another team.   A Super Bowl?  No.   But, the team will improve for the two years Favre is the QB for the Jets.   In the interval,  the team can work on finding  a good QB to replace Favre and keep their core players under contract.  It is easier to sign players when you can tell the player, who knows more than the SI writers, that the Jets have hope and new future.   But, I reallly think cleaning Pennington out is equal to bringing Favre onto the team.
