Brett was a great player who will soon be in the hall of fame.

He needs to develop some personal maturity and character in his old age.

Hope he helps the Jets reek havoc in the coming months.

Seriously, this is my own opinion being vented but...

Brett is too old, he is a great quarterback I have no problem admitting that and I am happy for him and all his accomplishments, but serioulsly, I believe a part of him is coming back because he loves the game, however the other, bigger half is coming back becuase he is afraid that he will be out done, and his records beaten before he is trully unfit to play.

I respect him as an individual and a player, but enough is enough, hang up your jersey Brett, and let the other, younger Quarterbacks take the spotlight.

I also greatly feel sorry for Eli, who was supposed to be appreciated by the New Yorkers, and in comes Brett, poor guy, all this time living in the shadow of his brother, he finally gets his 15 minutes of fame, and they are cut short with Big Bad Brett coming into Jets

This is great for the Jets, and it does make them a much better team. How far will they go, well, we'll know in another 4-5 months. His presence can lift the other players into a zone where they wouldn't be able to go without him.

A sad state of affairs.

While undoubtably an upgrade at the QB position....after using Packers terminology for 16 years, in a WCO.... just how fast do people think he will learn the new play book...and most importantly...the call terminology?

He tries to adjust cover protection on the fly..and drops a GB formation..it ain't gonna be pretty..and he WILL do it.

Still..from a PR standpoint..  good for the Jets, and good for the NFL.  And of course...bad for Ted "I'm a pretentious idiot" Thompson and the rest of the self serving Packers front office.  

oh well... until that n00b Mangeni is gone..I don't really want to see the Jets succeed anyhow.

Brett Favre is great! but the Jets aren't! the Jets are complete idiots taking him in! it will only slow him, and them down! they won't go anywhere this year and end going 8-8
