Brett Favre in Madden 09?

Question

Now that Brett Favre is back in the NFL, what will his situation be with his appearance in Madden? Madden comes out in less than a week, so it's too late for him to be added onto the Jets roster. Unfortunately that means we'll probably have to wait for an online roster update before we can play with a Favre led Jets team.

Madden Curse anyone?  It's not like the Jets have some great O-line anyway.  Old man Favre can't take too many more sacks.  I see a career ending injury for Favre in New York.

well since the games havent hit the stores yet, maybe theyre doing some last minute touch ups with favre as a jet. but the madden curse will still live and something will happen to him.

Shoot...like all Madden curses of the past, I feel the whole Favre/Jets situation IS a curse of sorts!!!! The game features what WAS a legend as a Packer on the cover.  Now that he has changed teams, this might be a curse of a non injury sort of way?

The roster update will probably come out soon because their cover athlete is not even on an NFL team roster in the game. I think he is on some Legends team or something.

He'll be in the free agent pool.. that's where all recently retired players have always been. So you can probably just sign him as a free agent and not wait until the updates.
