  1. I think it may be a rough start. But if I had to be VERY optomistic. I say with a little luck maybe a first round playoff apperance. But I hope for more.

  2. even though i am not a Favre fan. Im going to give him a chance. I am a huge Jets fan and i hope they get some where this time.

  3. The Jets will be in the area of six to ten wins and ten should get them to the playoffs

  4. Yesterday I might have guessed they'd contend for a wild card spot.  But after that press conference last night, I don't think their chances are all that great.

Who shows up for their first press conference with a new team and comments that he's out of shape and admits that he would have preferred to stay in the NFC North for "vindictive" reasons?

Also, Farm Boy is going to be suicidal coming of his first 3-INT game when he realizes that the NY media and fans are not going to fawn all over him and apologize for him.   Welcome to big market football, buddy.

  5. The Jets stink.

They also play in a division with three great teams that will be knocking the c**p out of the team.

so I think he will retire again as loser. under .500 team.

  6. I would say that the Jets would go 10-6 only because they have a good running back in Thomas Jones and a good receiver in Lauverneas Coles and a soon to be good tight end in Dustin Keller. On the defenssive side they just lost their core in Jonathan Vilma. if they can get that defense up from where it was last year then the Jets could have something.

  7. 5-11.     They'll get pounded by the Pats twice.

Favre played in the West Coast offense most of his career, and historically, that system makes even mediocre QBs look like gods.    We'll see what the combination of age and a new system brings for Favre.

Plus, the NY fans and press will EAT HIM ALIVE if he doesn't perform.    He's not in Wisconsin anymore.

  8. same as it always is... one guy won't make the team, especially if the running game or offensive line isn't up to par.

and lets face it, it's the jets we're talking about here... they have their own problems to work out, let alone trying to beat the Patriots, Colts, Chargers... and possibly everyone else in the AFC and most of the NFC.

  9. I'm thinking Super Bowl XLIII for the Jets.

  10. 9-7 record...wild card win with elimination in first round

  11. 10-6...I'm a Jets fan, 10-6 or 11-5 sounds good...WAY better than 4-12.

  12. 7-9...THERE IS NO "I" IN TEAM

  13. Looking at their schedule they have 4 almost definate losses, 2 New England games 1 San Diego Game and one Game against the Titans. Then they have 2 likely losses against Seattle and Denver. I doubt they sweep the Bills, they will sweep the dolphins but most likely lose another silly game somewhere. I think 7-9 at worst to 9-7 at best.

  14. Well, they won't make the Super Bowl, but they'll do better than last year.  Let's face it, the Jets suck.  But, with Favre on their team, they might possibly make the playoffs, but i doubt that they will.

  15. Anywhere from 7 - 9 to 9 - 7. They have more help than just Farve.

Year before last they were 10 - 6.

  16. 8-8 record, 2nd in the AFC East, no playoffs, Farve retires again.

  17. I suppose the new Fireman Ed chant will be:

    "J - E - T - S.....Brett Brett Brett" now..............

Seriously though, once he gets acclaimated to his new team, he could turn this receiving core into a real threat. He brings a whole new dynamic to a team when he's out there.

It ought to be interesting to watch.

Or I could be completely wrong and they'll go 3-13.

  18. maybe 8-8. i'm not expecting favre to make them that much better

  19. farve is foolish to change teams this late in his career and mostr of the nfl knows his weaknesses i don't expect he'll make an inpact in ny

  20. i think they will be 10-6 perhaps a wildcard playoff
