They didn't trade him within the NFC North, and the Jets don't play the Packers in Green Bay until 2014. I'm sure Brett will retire and come back every year in that time.

It was a good move, they weren't gonna start him which would mean that he was going to be benched and getting a lot of money. He probably could have ruined the team chemistry. The Packers are better off without him.
