Brett Favre or Tom Brady?

in there primes, who would you rather have on your team

& to make it more interesting, who's better right now

I'd have to say Brady. Favre has always been a  gunslinger. It is what made him great, but also what has limited him in ways. Perfectly example is how last year ended for the Packers. All I'm saying is, even in his prime, Brett was sort of a guy I think you had to worry about making the big, costly mistake. Brady, on the other hand, really hasn't ever had those big mistakes. Remember, Brady started like 10-0 in the playoffs.

As for who's better right now, Brady wins again. Favre has lost some zip on his passes and is not quite as youthful anymore. Brady is still in his prime!

Also, if you want to compare them as "best ever" I don't think that's much of a competitive. Sports is all about winning. Favre, although he has won many things, only has one Super Bowl ring, while Brady already has three.

Brett Favre. 3-time NFL MVP. That means something. And right now i would say Brett is a better QB. He has more expirence than Tom and Brett has his own way of playing the game which makes it interesting all the time.

EDIT* It takes a team to win a superbowl not just a QB. So without the rings. Thats why I say Brett Favre.

i am going to answer this, in 3 ways

First Brady is better overall, 3 rings to 1

second Brady is better in his prime, a perfect reg season.

third, the only thing Favre has on anyone, is more interceptions then any qb in history.

So currently Brady has to be better because Favre has no football team currently, due to (i will be reported for saying why) (not that i care, and yahoo doesn't care to let you know).

But overall Favre is not even in the same league as Brady. Brady is a leader on the field like another great QB Montana (before your time, look him up). The only reason Brady doesn't have 4 rings, is the refs made some of the worst calls in last years superbowl.

i don't want best answer, for this question, because Farve isn't yet on a team, and because of how he treated the Packers, doesn't deserve to be put in the same sentence as Brady. You don't retire on your team, and expect to be on good terms.

So report me or not, i really don't care, to answer your question properly, you have to bring up the retirement. It is part of what Favre has done to his legacy. If you don't like it, then don't ask questions about him.. Its like asking what someone thinks of Barry Bonds (baseball) and saying you will report them if they bring up steriods.

*edit* he is 3/4 superbowls, brett favre is 1/2. Favre didn't get MVP in either superbowl he was in. Desmond Howard got the G.B MVP.

While everything Favre has done is good, the true test of greatness is in the playoffs. Brady has lost 3 playoff games period. 1 in the superbowl, 2 in the afc championship games. That is a 14 and  3 record with 3 superbowl wins, 1 superbowl loss.

this should show you that when the playoffs start, only Brady should even be mentioned.

P.S. i mentioned brady lost a superbowl, but then reading might not be your strong suit. Favre lost a superbowl also but then pack fans always forget that.

Brady, and the thing about Brett Favre is that people forget he had 3 seasons where he was without a doubt the best QB in football, but since then his seasons could be considered decent at best.  Favre also has the same habit that Bledsoe tortured me with,  he throws interceptions at the worst possible times.  I said that was how the Packers season was going to end last year and I was right.

brett farve is c**p and i hope to god he hangs it up he is the one that cost packers a trip to the super bowl he played terrible and threw the int in overtime that set up the winning score for the g-men and yet everyone in the media gives him an absolute free pass on the stinker of a game the packers realize farve isnt that great thats why they told him to stay home.

hes only won one super bowl and yet peter king and john madden and thousands of others act like hes the best quarterback ever when joe montana and elway are way better then him and fraves not even better then the best qbs today like tom brady and peyton manning everyone says he plays the game like a kid, yea thats an insult to kids coz even an 8 year old is dumb enough to throw into triple coverage but an 8 year old would handle his retirment like a kid with ADD he can maked up his d**n mind
