Brett Fraser wins Men’s 200m freestyle heat: Day two – 2011 USA Swimming Long Course Nationals
Brett Fraser of GSCFL impressed the arena in the preliminary heats on day two of the 2011 USA Swimming Long Course Nationals in Paloalto, California, on Wednesday, August 3.
The session of the competition conducted the Men’s 200m freestyle prelims, in which Brett Fraser hit the wall in 1 minute and 47.56 seconds to clinch the race. In the meantime, Peter Vanderkaay of OLYMI wound up second in 1 minute and 48.07 seconds and Daxon
Hill of TXLAST settled third in 1 minute and 48.38 seconds.
Matthew Mclean of SNOWPV was placed fourth in the respective meet with a time of 1 minute and 48.49 seconds. Meanwhile, Michael Klueh of FASTCA wound up fifth in 1 minute and 48.60 seconds and Richard Berens settled sixth in 1 minute and 48.69 seconds.
Douglas Robinson of NSSNC was placed seventh in 1 minute and 48.83 seconds, while Peter Geissinger of UVAAVA finished eighth in a time of 1 minute and 49.21 seconds.
In the Men’s 200m freestyle B preliminary heat, Tyler Clary of FASTCA wound up first on the podium with a time of 1 minute and 49.81 seconds, whereas, Jackson Wilcox of TXLAST was placed second in 1 minute and 49.89 seconds. Charles Houchin finished third
on the podium with a time of 1 minute and 50.02 seconds.
Clay Youngquist of LACMI grabbed fourth spot with a time of 1 minute and 50.08 seconds, whereas, Conor Dwyer of LFSCIL settled fifth in a time of 1 minute and 50.24 seconds. Morgan Priestley of STNPC finished sixth in 1 minute and 50.26 seconds, while Austin
Surhoff of UN0IST was placed seventh in 1 minute and 50.51 seconds. Samuel Metz of CALPC wound up eighth in 1 minute and 50.59 seconds.
Robert Bollier of STNPC grabbed top spot in the Men’s 200m freestyle C heat with a winning time of 1 minute and 50.86 seconds. Thomas Stephens of NOVAVA finished second in 1 minute and 50.87, while Lincoln Fahrbach of OSUOH settled third in a time of 1 minute
and 50.93 seconds.
