The PSV Eindhoven stopper was all praise for the Australian ace, and expressed optimism that the talented winger will be a success in English Premier League while wearing Aston Villa colours next term.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/PSV-c40281 Eindhoven defender, Wilfred Bouma, has heaped praise on Aston Villa’s new acquisition Brett Holman.
The Australian ace, who started his career at Parramatta Power in the summer of 2000, had an impressive 2011/12 season while donning the jersey of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AZ-c38571 Alkmaar. The 28-year-old netted four goals while setting up 10 more in 25 league
appearances.
Following his consistent showings, several European clubs came asking for his signature. However, the Villans emerged as the favourites to sign him, and eventually lured him away from AFAS Stadion.
Bouma, who has thus far represented PSV in 53 league matches, has heaped praise on the highly-talented winger, and has revealed that the 28-year-old was looking for a move to play in the highest echelons of English football for
a long time.
“http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Brett-Holman-c8047 is someone I have played against a lot of times. He is a quality player as well. He was looking forward for a long time to playing in the Premier League and now he has got his chance. Hopefully he will be a big success
like the other Australians who came to the Premier League”, the PSV defender said while talking to the media.
The Villans have also managed to sign http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Feyenoord-c39258 Rotterdam, making their three signings from the Dutch Eredivisie this summer.
Vlaar played 126 league matches while El Ahmadi made 198 appearances for the Rotterdammers before moving to the English Premier League side.
Bouma, who has earlier represented Aston Villa in 83 matches during his five-year stay at Villa Park, has advised the trio to adjust to the pace of the game at the earliest.
“The only advice I can give them is to try and cope as quick as possible with the tempo because it is 90 minutes at a high tempo. Sometimes in the Dutch league you can take a little breather but that won't happen in the Premier
League. So your mindset has to be right. You always have to be focused”, the PSV stopper concluded.
