  1. Didn't know he had lost it!

Of course. He is our main destroyer with the ball. The bonus is he has a couple of test 50's to his name and is more than capable with the stick.

He has shown that he is prepared to cop it on the chin literally and knows how to give his own chin music back! (I tell you what, I wouldn't want to be any bowler that hit him!!)

I must admit that in his early days I did have doubts about his ability. Sure he was quick but he sprayed it all over the place.

He has now stepped up to plate and leads the attack from the front.

It is a h**l of a responsibility to be the main strike bowler for your country. A task that three years ago I would have said was almost beyond him. However, not only is he equal to challenge, I think he has surpassed expectations.

  2. hes been in the best form of his life

  3. Yeah i never doubted for a second that he wouldnt have a good series in the Carribean! I guess by saying he "still" has it you are referncing when he was not bowling well in the CB series vs India.

To be the main strike-bowler for Australia is a huge responsibility!! It puts so much more pressure on Lee's shoulders, but not only has he been able to cope being the main strike-bowler, BUT he has relished the new responsibility!!

Before 2006 Lee, had never averaged under 30 runs per wicket for a year. Since McGrath retired (thus passing the torch to Lee) Lee has averaged 17.28 in the year 2007 and 22.80 in the year 2008 (so far) He's now Australia's best bowler not only because he is a wicket taker BUT because he can now provide the captain with control!! Lee 2 or 3 years ago was a great bowler who needed more accuracy, now Lee is almost the perfect bowler.

Oh ive always loved his batting, even in 2005 he smashed England around the park a couple of times!! Now all he needs is the elusive first class 100 to his name!! eh Binga!

  4. "Still" (?) got it?

He's better now than he's ever been. The responsibility of being the senior bowler has taken him to a new level.

  5. My thoughts-Bloody marvelous mate....

His 5/59 was actualy day 3,he took 3 on day 4(last day)...

So i think it is a great effort 8 wickets with in 2 day-whooo!!...

    Go Binga.....

Of cause he has what it takes to keep him in the team,i will slap your butt if you think otherwise....lol

Brett will be in the Aussie squad for at least the next 5 years...

Your not writing your man off are you mate?..LOL....

  6. After the retirement of Mc Grath, Brett Lee has taken over the roll of strike bowler for Australia and he has been doing it  admirably well.  He is very useful with bat as well, though not consistently, and able to score some quick runs when needed.

  7. Sure & I consider he has a long way to go yet judging by his performance in the Carribean.

  8. Didn't know he'd 'lost it'! He's turning up the heat now.
