Brett Lee comes out in support of the Indian team
Australia’s top fast bowler, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Brett-Lee-c48419 has come out to defend India after its horrific loss in the Test series against India and believes that any other team would have struggled in the English conditions, where the ball was swinging all
the time.
India faced one of its history’s worst defeats off the hands of England as the men in blue were white washed by the home team, which won all the matches by a comprehensive margin. As a result, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 lost its number one ranking in Test
cricket and now the crown belongs to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/AJ-Strauss-c964 and company, who want to make it their own for some time to come.
Lee believes that being the top team of the world, this loss is surely going to demoralizing for India but it was natural for them to struggling in the seaming conditions. The fast bowler quoted the experience of the Australian team in
2005, when the Kangaroos struggled against the swing of the English fast bowlers.
He said, "The loss is going to hurt India. But they are very difficult conditions to play with the ball seaming and swinging around, which we found out in the 2005 Ashes series. I am not surprised they (http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013) are playing very well."
Lee, who has limited himself to limited overs cricket only, admitted that England was a far superior team in the Test series but the Indian team should have played better and a result of 0-4 does not reflect the ability of the Indian team.
However, the fast bowler is confident that India will be back to its best very soon and the no cricket expert can afford to rule out the future of men in blue.
"England played really well and you would point your fingers at India when they lose 4-0 and India hasn't played the best cricket. But look at the other side of the fence as well and think may be England has played some very, very good
cricket. But I think they (India) will bounce back," Lee added.
It remains to be seen that the Indian team can salvage some pride in the upcoming One Day International series or not.
