Brett the Jet? Jet Favre? Who did better in this deal: Jets or Packers?

So Brett is officially a Jet after a three month saga. Considering the conditional draft pick that the Packers get in return for trading Favre away, who got the better end of the deal? Which team will come out on top this season?

  1. Even with Brett Favre, the Jets are not going to be a good team.  They might win 6-7 games at the most.  The Packers are going to get a 3rd round draft pick in exchange for Favre, and that is simply not good enough.  The Jets on the other hand, just struck gold similar to the Dodgers when they got Manny.  They lost nothing, and now, their fans have something to be excited for for the first time in several years.  As a Packers fan, I will pay anybody half a mil for Ted's head, and 1 mil for him alive, that way I can teach him manners.  In the end however, the Packers still have more talent, and the Packers have a better, 8-9 win season.

  2. We're just going to have to wait and see. Although the Jets now have the better QB the Packers have more all around talent.

  3. This year I think the Jets came out on top but in the future I think the Packers as they now have a QB that has time to develop and the draft next year should give them one more draft pick they weren't expecting.

  4. Jets!

  5. Jets got the better end of this one IMO.  They got Favre for nothing but 1 conditional draft pick.  Green Bay lost a hall-of-fame QB without having another QB on the roster with even 1NFL start.

Green Bay management can take great pride in the fact that they won their little "pissing match" with Favre....while they watch the team lose in '08.

  6. Jets got the better deal. Packers got what they wanted.

  7. Could go either way or be mutually beneficial since if the Jets win the superbowl the Packers get a 1st rounder for him.

IMO Brett won't do this and they'll get a 2nd rounder for a guy who wasn't going to play for them and won't lead the jets to the promised land.

look for a trade back to GB if rodgers gets hurt and the jets suck as usual

  8. Jets will be better with Favre than the Packers with Rodgers.

  9. Jets

  10. even if Brett has a bad year he will be better than anyother option on the Jets and the backup Clemens gets to sit and watch a hall of famer and take notes pretty great deal for the Jets

  11. J-E-T-S, JETS! JETS! JETS!

  12. Jets definitely, the beautiful thing about this trade is, the Packers can cheer for Favre to do well because the better he does, the better return they get on the trade.

  13. Does this mean in 20 years brett will show up drunk on the sidelines during monday night football and try to kiss Suzy Kolber?
