Yes. Sun tea is made by sitting a container of water with tea bags in the sun and letting it steep for a few hours. I used to do this all the time, but recently I've heard that is unsafe because bacteria can multiply in the tea, and give you food poisoning. Regular brewed tea has been made with boiling water.
