Question:

Brewer fans' thoughts on CC?

CC pitched another complete game tonight as you all know. Are the CGs starting to worry you any? I know he's a durable guy and I'm not even talking about injury. I'm more or less wondering if you guys are starting to worry if he may get fatigued come late September and in the playoffs (since I think they will make it.)? Especially today, they had a pretty large lead. I don't see why they wanted him to go out and finish it. Just wondering what you guys were thinking?

  1. brewers have no chance cubs all the way

  2. I agree, I'm not a Brewers fan, but I would be worried he would start getting fatigued towards September.  If I'm not mistaken he did kind of fall off in the post season last year with the Indians and he wasn't used nearly as much as he's being used in Milwaukee.  Why keep him in with a big lead?  Are they that insecure of their bullpen that they feel they can't go to it and feel comfortable enouh to pull Sabathia.

  3. Not a Brewers fan, but he's been AMAZING!  Five CG's, 1.60 ERA?  That's just crazy.

  4. Oh, Cubsrock. You always are the 'silver lining' to the Brewers' wins.

But exactly. He didn't have to pitch in the 8th or 9th. With a 7 run lead, the recently underused bullpen should've got in at least a couple innings of work. We all know they rely on confidence, so why not let them pitch without worrly of blowing a big game?

Another reason Ned Yost doesn't deserve to manage this team.

  5. Yeah I worry about CC getting worn out come Sept/Oct but then again, he is a big durable guy so if anyone can handle the abuse, it'd be CC.

I also don't think the Brewers are too concerned about wearing CC out long term either, because there's no chance we'll re-sign him after this season.

  6. Well I live here in milwaukee

and i do see your point with all this

i think ned likes to ride the success cc brings with his hitting and complete games

the fatigue factor seems to have effected him in past years. he won the cy young last year and lost some key games in the post season with the indians

but at the same time the brewers score more runs for him than the indians did

but in all honesty, we havnt made the playoffs since 1982 so i believe that getting there at all is a huge step up

  7. Well, CC is 8-0 so I think he's much more than the Brewers' management could ever have expected.  I agree that he probably should have been pulled tonight with the large lead . . . but I doubt the Brewers will win any playoff series with Torres as their closer. Then again, in a short series,  if CC pitches brilliantly and Sheets and Parra can do their thing . . . that's why baseball is the most unpredictable sport.

  8. we're thinkin he's a beast and hes gonna keep it up til the end of the season

  9. I was thinking the same thing while watching the game.  The Brewers have invested just about everything into this year.  There was no need for Yost to do that with that large of a lead.  Not like the Brewers need to rest the bull pen any.  They need to make sure that CC and Sheets are rested up for the post season.  I just hope the Brewers can get the job done this season...it has been a looooooooong time!!!!!

  10. I'm not a Brewers fan but CC is on my fantasy team. I gotta say hes pitching amazing. But theres a chance the CGs could lead to fatigue but he's a major leaguer and the Brew Crew's coach will make sure hes all ready 4 the playoffs
