Brewers better than the cards and Cubs?

Question

Well since the Brewers having won at least out of four from st. louis (and have a good chance at the sweep with sheets on the mound tomorrow) and since the brewers are 4-2 against the Cubs this year, does this make the Brewers better than both these teams and the new favorites to win the Central.

What do you guys think?

Oh, remeber, the Brewers have only played the Cubs at Wrigley, none at Miller Park yet.

I think that the Brewers are better than the Cubs and Cardinals, mainly based on season series records so far.  Next week will be a big test for the Brewers and Cubs and that will say a lot.

Dempster is not better than Sheets.  Despite the injuries, when Sheets is healthy, he is hard for anyone to beat.  Dempster is only in season one of starting, and even if he did it before, one good season isn't enough to put him ahead of Sheets.

Also, the Reds are not better than the Brewers.  I will admit that it is unusual how the Reds have won against the Brewers this season, but that's just an anomaly.  It happens with most winning teams, that there is just a team or two that manages to beat them on a regular basis.

The Brewers are, like you said, 4-2 against the Cubs in Wrigley, and the Cubs are great at home.

The Brewers obviously have more talent, but we'll find out who's truly better next week.

By the way, baseballfan1 is INCREDIBLY stupid.  Winston is also an idiot for thinking that Dempster is as good as Sheets.  These two users obviously know nothing about baseball.

By the end of September don't be surprised when the Cubs are in 3rd place. The cubs have blown many chances to be great and this year won't be any different. Seriously, if anybody thinks the Cubs could go to the World Series and beat teams like the New York Yankees and Boston Red Socks you are sadly and SURELY mistaken.

*If Harden cannot stay healthy then they are pretty much equal because Ryan Dempster is pretty much just as good as Ben Sheets

Brewers aren't better than the Cubs and will never be. There done after this year, because CC and Sheets are gone(and i think at least on of them will go to the Cubs).

Plus what's with them and signing these guys on steroids. Gagne, Cameron and now Gibbons. Can't they do it on there own.

I think Brewers are good now , but wont be in it in october. C.C sabathia is the heart of their success, but what is the reality of him pitching 3 consecutive Complete games again. In all Reality i think the Cubs are going to take the central. But brewers maybe a wild card contestant.

brewers certainly crushed the cards this weekend.  But the offense of the cubs is on a bad slump, and the brewers barely took the first two.  I think the brewers and the cards are both better than the cubs to be completely honest.  We'll know more soon, i think the brewers will surprise most, and the cards will surprise everyone.

Brewers are better. They have more pitching depth with CC, Ben Sheets, Dave Bush, and Suppan. And more power in the lineup with Feider, Braun, Cameron and Hart. And speed with Weeks, Durham and Hardy.

No. The Brewers FINALLY, FINALLY have a playoff worthy team after 26 years of futility. But the Cubs have better pitching & a better Line-up & Better depth. Now have Soriano back as well. The Cubs win many more games with him playing. Overall without him 25-22(9-17 in road games) and with him 34-19(13-13 in road games). Miller park will probably be as usual 30-40% Cubs fans. So not a huge advantage. Cubs win division by 3-5 games with Brewers being the WILD CARD.

I won't say they are better then the Cubs but in recent games, I do think they have played better then the Cubs and I do see them taking the lead in the NL Central.  that CC pick up was HUGE for them. They have a ton of confidence now and is definatly a threat to the Cub.

I do think the Brewers will take the Cubs on Monday though. They are on to something and will not give up for nothin.
