Brian Harman looking for his first PGA victory
Brian Harman is currently a rookie on the tour but the way he has been playing it looks like he has been here since ages. He is currently tied in the third place at the TPC Deere Run, in the third round Harman shot 2-under 69 after shooting back to back
rounds of 65.
It is not the first time that Brian has performed well in a tournament. He has been performing extremely well recently.
Brian is looking to become the third rookie this year to claim a PGA title.
So far in this season, Brian has made 14 cuts out of a possible 21, and he has managed to finish among the top-25 six times. Not bad at all for somebody who is a rookie, Harman’s best finish so far has been at the AT&T National, where he finished T11.
Harman would need to pull up his socks in the last round if he wants to win his first PGA Title. On the final day, four possible players have decent chances of a victory.
Matteson is currently leading the tournament by three strokes, followed by Steve Stricker. Steve will be looking to win a tournament for four years in a row. If he manages that, he will become the fifth man in history to achieve the feat.
Zach Johnson, currently tied with Harman, is the blue eyed boy of the local community and before the tournament started, he was expected to do well. Zach will fire all guns blazing in the fourth round in order to stop his good friend, Steve, from winning
his fourth straight title.
The other two rookies to win a PGA title are John Huh and Ted Potter Jr.
Brian Harman is just four shots behind the leader Matteson. If Harman can make a blistering start, it will obviously put pressure on the players ahead of him. With a little bit of luck here and there, one never knows, Harman may emerge victorious.
If Harman secures a victory at the John Deere Classic, being held at TPC Deere Run, then his name will be written in the PGA record books.
