During the after race interview Vickers was talking about a possible black flag for himself if he did something...but I caught it late and was way confused....does anyone know what he was talking about? He seemed extremely discontent with his finish.

  1. JayBee - thanks for asking this question. Not only did I miss the interview, I missed the last 3 laps and was extremely confused about everything. My mom couldn't remember any of the details and the posts here were confusing.

  2. I was also wondering what happened and why he wasn't allowed to pass considering the 8 car ran out of fuel BEFORE the caution. Vickers seemed to have the fastest car today.

  3. He passed Mark Martin well before the caution flag, and after the final restart, he dove to the bottom of turn 1 and made a huge gain on Kahne and Dale Jr. Then all of a sudden NASCAR warns him to let the 8 by (even though the 8 was out of fuel) or he would be black flagged.

What really happened: Brian Vickers was a heck of a lot faster than Dale Jr. (Good luck getting JR Nation to admit this) and NASCAR felt they should get Dale a win.Did you see how quick they were to throw the caution on the final lap? Usually with a little incident like that they would just let them race back to the line.

This turned me off to the sport big time today. If NASCAR can't do things the way they are supposed to they might as well not even race. I thought I was watching the WWE (Did they seriously throw a debris caution for a 12 oz budweiser can? Please)

  4. the #8 car ran out of fuel and NASCAR told him not to pass

  5. RB - how quick we forget about the caution lap from with 2 laps to go, if your arguement held any water, they would have called a caution when the 77 spun out.

  6. goodbye rb you won't be missed--go whine with WWB or whatever it is that works out your way every week!!
