Brianna Throssell claims two gold titles at the 2011 Australian Age Swimming Championships

The 2011 Australian Age Swimming Championships ended on high note with the stunning performance of Brianna Throssell at the SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre in Adelaide, last week.
Brianna Throssell took home the golden crown in the Girls 15 years 50m freestyle final with a sterling time of 25.68 seconds, while she also clinched the gold medal in the 400m Individual Medley with a stunning time of 4:52.23 minutes.
In the Girls 15 years 100m freestyle final, C Buchanan of QLD snared the gold medal with a fabulous time of 56.06 seconds. On the other hand, B Throssell of WA wound up second in 56.24 seconds, while G Miller of NSW finished third in a time of 56.35 seconds
in the respective meet.
Meanwhile, the Girls 15 years 200m freestyle crown was captured by L Neale with a winning time of 1:59.80 minutes. B Throssell of WA settled second in 2:01.70 minutes and C Buchanan wound up third in a time of 2:03.31 minutes.
In the 400m freestyle final, L Neal of QLD claimed the gold medal with a stunning time of 4:12.11 minutes. On the other side, her team-mate, B MacDonald wound up second in 4:13.01 minutes and B Throssell of WA finished third in a time of 4:15.57 minutes.
Next, the Girls 15 years 800m freestyle final was taken over by B MacDonald of QLD with a remarkable time of 8:40.26 minutes. L Neale settled second in 8:41.69 minutes, while B Throssell of WA captured the bronze medal with a time of 8:52.59 minutes.
In the 100m back-stroke meet, H Baker of VIC snatched the gold medal with a super time of 1:02.99 minutes, while T Gilmour wound up second in 1:04.27 minutes. J Tong finished third in a time of 1:04.60 minutes.
S Batchelor of New Zealand won the 200m back-stroke event with a stunning time of 2:13.31 minutes. H Baker of VIC grabbed the second spot in a time of 2:15.79 minutes, while M Timms was placed third in 2:15.95 minutes.
In the 100m breast-stroke final, N Lloyd of New Zealand took home the golden crown with an excellent time of 1:11.28 minutes, while J Hansen of VIC nabbed silver in 1:11.31 minutes. L Collins of VIC and H Beighton of QLD settled for a tie in 1:12.14 minutes.
N Lloyd of New Zealand picked up the top seed in the Girls 15 years 200m breast-stroke final with a sterling time of 2:31.57 minutes, while J Hansen of VIC was placed second in 2:32.80 minutes. H Beighton of QLD wound up third in a time of 2:37.85 minutes.
S Batchelor of New Zealand won the 100m butterfly title with a superb time of 59.48 seconds, while V Puhlmann was placed first in the 200m butterfly with a time of 2:15.09 minutes. Last, but not the least, C Buchanan of QLD captured the 200m IM title in
2:18.05 minutes.
