  1. you can get your friend to ask your hubby personal questions(not too personal) about you lives or just his personality eg, whats his fav food or drink, hobby. a whole list. play a game to test your knowledge of your fiance (YOU BETTER GET ALOT RIGHT lol). just get creative and play games or so about your love life or otherwise, u can also go out afterwards wit the girls. during the bridal party tho, u can serve soda, juice, sandwiches, or even burgers, and have like 2 bowls of chips to snack on and a little bowl of mints... I'm being married in 11 days and i didnt have one, never went to one so i really dunno but it sounds nice and i got most if the ideas from the movie "brown sugar". i find the questioning the bride part was interesting and cute!

  2. First of all your MOH, is supposed to do that, and your not supposed to pay for a thing that day. You pay for enough for your wedding that is what they are for to help you out. Here are some really cute ideas, well I think so anyway. You could rite on the invites to have everyone bring an old ugly bridesmaid dress, and have everyone model it for you and take pictures. Also my favorite who knows the groom best, YOU or HIS MOM! You could also do this game, where your maids blind fold you and have your groom come in and have to choose his leg from a few other guy friends of yours, and no peaking.  There is another game called rice and rings, its really quick, and cheap. You take a fish bowl (large enough to fit hands in) fill it with cheap plastic rings, (rings for wedding rings) and rice(since that is what people used to throw at the couple), blindfold your guest and give them a min, to find as many as they can. Its pretty fun. Also depending on how formal you want your shower to be, you might want a registry. You will also want snack foods (finger food) and a cake. You name is the only one on this since its your shower, and they should shower you with love and gifts. GOOD LUCK, if you want IM me I have loads of ideas.

I don't know what kind of budget you are going to have for this shower but this is the website I will be using for games for my sisters bridal shower.  They don't cost a lot and lots of people can use them without you having to buy more since you print them out from your printer.  They have a really good selection of games, I recommend that you take a peak:

I hope this helps your friend throw you a great shower, I know it has made me much more confident about throwing my sisters shower.

  4. I have been to lingerie party themed shower. It was fun because it was like shopping with your friends and picking things out.

Deffenitly drinks are neccessary and fun. You can combine it with wine tasting or a make-up artist depending on what your friends like.

You can also do a lingerie registry where you pick out what you like in your size and tell everyone your registered there for your shower. The lingerie registry is on-line and come with free gift wrapping. So you can get cute things that you really want.

    Check it out on www.EntiiseLingerie.com

  5. You could make a custom game like "Wedding Pictionary" or "Wedding Taboo".  For "Wedding Pictionary", you can put a bunch of wedding related words of phrases in a hat, then someone has to draw the word they pulled out of the hat.  The first person to guess the word or phrase can get a small prize, but also has to be next person to draw.  "Wedding Taboo" would work the same way, except you add the taboo words to the bottom of the card, and the person who is "it" must give clues to the word or phrase without mentioning the taboo words.

There are also a number of games listed here: http://www.bridalshower.com/planning/sho...

You can also give door prizes. We gave away jewelry, hats, small clutch purses.  Girly things.

As for food, it depends when the shower is held.  If it is during lunch time, you should provide lunch.  I think gourmet finger sandwiches, tea, scones, etc. is fun & classy.  If it is in the afternoon, you might only serve refreshments.

As for a theme, I like the "ladies at lunch" theme.  I'm thinking silly, fancy hats and British style teapots, etc.  There are also theme ideas in the same link I posted above.

    Hope that helps!
