Question:

Bridesmaid Blues?

I have had the bridesmaids dresses that I wanted picked out for a few weeks now. I finally got around to calling Davids Bridal today to ask them how long it would take to get these particular dresses in. They told me that if I ordered today, the dresses would arrive on Nov. 3rd. 16 days AFTER the wedding.

I have been looking online to try and find similar dresses online, possibly a little cheaper (because I am paying for them) with hardly any luck. I have found a few cute and inexpensive cheap ones, but they only come in a few sizes. I need 4 dresses sizes 6, 12, 16 and 22. Does anyone have any idea of what online stores I can go to, or any normal stores to go to. I would like to spend less then $50 on each dress if it is at all possible. Thank You SO SO much in advance!!!

Here is what the dresses I wanted looked like (in Truffle):

i used to work at davids bridal and know for a FACT that they can check for the dresses at other locations! november is VERY far away and they can ship them to you from other locations in a few days.

also from experience i can tell you, a cute dress liek this, theyll put into mass production very soon, so if you hold out a bit like til sept, youll get them, i almost promise it

ps: they work on commission, so keep that in mind, theyre trying to get you to buy something right away!

  4. The easiest solution might be to tell your maids to choose their own tea-length gown in any shade of brown. That way they can spend what they want, find something that flatters them, and you don't have to scramble to have dresses made. You can tell them you get veto power if you hate what they pick, but that they can each choose what they please.

I'm MOH for a wedding in August where the bride has us choose our own black cocktail dresses - it made my life so easy, and I found something I can definitely wear again in the future. They won't all "match," but they will coordinate, and everyone will feel good knowing she is wearing a dress that flatters her.

Seriously, your bridesmaids will love you for it.

These are almost all under $50 and to me are very classy and beautiful and something they would wear again.

Some of them come in extended sizes for your size 22 friend -- otherwise maybe she can wear something also in brown from Sydneys Closet or Lane Bryant.

Best wishes on your wedding and you are welcome!

  7. Try places in the mall like JC Penny, Sears, Carsons.
