Bridesmaid/Groomsmen gifts?

Question

I'm planning on getting my bridesmaids little silver compact mirrors personalized with their name on it amongst other things.....

my question is...what are YOU getting YOUR bridesmaids and more importantly groomsmen?? all the suggested gifts i find online for groomsmen are lame!

My husband received a silver flask at his brother's wedding and his cousin is giving his best men a pair of black Romeos. Another great suggestion is a silver knife such as a Swiss Army...guys love gifts like these...Hope this helps!

I don't have any groomsmen.  But as a man (more mature than I care to admit), I find that this can be tricky.  So much of the decision has to be based on your social circle.  What kind of personalities do the groomsmen have?  

The gift should be something timeless and classic.  Men wear little in the way of jewelry, and these days, most young men wear disposable, trendy trinkets.  

I have a tie tac that I bought from QVC nearly 20 years ago.  It is very simple, 14 KT yellow gold, with a 1 carat cubic zirconia stone.  I paid less than $40 for it back then, but every time I wear a suit and tie (not too often) someone compliments me on it.  

Something like that should work.  If a "diamond" is too Liberace for your friends, a single black pearl may work.  

Cuff links are great, too.  Every man should own a pair.  But, these tend to be more era-specific, so finding an affordable classic style by be difficult.  

Watches are another appreciated gift.  Again, keep the style extremely clean and simple...something that can be worn daily with jeans, but wouldn't look stupid peeping out from a suit jacket.

We had a very budget friendly wedding, so he got the groomsmen little pocket knives, and his best man a little bigger one. I got the bridesmaids necklaces with charms that reminded me of them and paid to get their hair done the day of the wedding.

I like the mirror idea though! That would be a practical yet meaningful gift that they could take in their purse everywhere! :)

I am getting my bridesmaids jewelery they can wear at the wedding. Also I am giving each of my girls a book that I think they would be interested in.

The groomsmens gifts are my fiances department. I am not sure what he plans on getting them. Probably a flask and their favorite liquer or maybe a case of beer (LOL).

My wedding is a year and 1/2 from now (my husband is taking another college course)  But I'm going to get each of my bridesmaids a charm bracelet that has 2 0r 3 charms that are straight from their personalities.  My maid of honour loves drama , did it all through high school and is becoming a drama teacher , so I would do the drama mask.  One of my brides maids is the mother of my godchild and I have helped her  alot with the baby , its brought us closer , so I found a cute baby carriage charm.  

In short its a unique gift that last forever and it shows that you really took time to reflect on why she is special to you.
