Bridesmaid Lunch before wedding planning?

Question

I am trying to put together a lunch/fun day for all my bridesmaids to get together before all the wedding planning starts. I want to thank them for accepting to be my bridesmaids. I want to give them more details of the wedding and also start discussing what they want to help with, etc. The luncheon's that I have read about online are after all the planning. Any Ideas? Also, any ideas on gifts? I would like to present them with a thank you gift for my appreciation.

I see what u mean and I had something similar. The day I asked them to be bridesmaid I invited them over for dinner. When everyone arrived I first asked them and once they accepted I gave them their gifts then we ate while discussing upcoming events. I included in the bag things they would need for the wedding. Pedi/manicure tool set, lotion, dove body wash and deodorant. And I also gave them bubble bath so after a hard day of dealing with my b*llsh*t they could go home and soak in a nice bubble bath. lmao. I tried to give them stuff they could use now and in preparation for the big day. Now I'm considering for the wedding day if I want to create a nice necklace for them (b/c we're on a tight budget and cant afford to many expensive items) as a thank you. I like the idea of the lunch. Just invite them over to your place that's a comfortable environment to introduce them to each other and u won't have to fight with any other noises or distractions. Give gifts u know they can use like relaxation candles, cds, and bubble baths for the same reason I did. Lol! Congrats and Good Luck!!

Just go to a resteraunt of your choosing, and discuss what you want to do. As a gift, how about a bracelet or earrings that they can all wear at the wedding?

well all i know is about the gift

there's a place i always buy my gifts from and i find it cool because you choose what you want and you customize it, like put you're girl's face/picture on a plate or mug or anything u can think of

I would have a catered luncheon in my outdoor garden by my pool, and give out gift cards for a spa day.
