Question:

Bridesmaids Gift Bag fillers

OK I posted this question a few months ago but I still need suggestions. I already bought personalized tote bags for my bridesmaids and I have all the small items that I need, for example: hand lotion, hand wipes, small candles, chocolate, tylenol and all sorts of other misc. things.

I need suggestions on bigger items. I am making 10 gift bags so its getting expensive and I need something cheap and big to bulk up the bag. I don't need any more small items. Any suggestions on any big items I an use the bulk it up?

Thank you in advance for your help.

  1. i got my bridesmaids photoalbums from burlington coat factory. they were about 5 dollars each and hold 200 4X6 pictures and they were so pretty. and they filled up my bags well also... good luck

  2. if u are having jewelry for your wedding put it in there like matching ones that are still in the box. i have been in a lot of weddings and help plan a lot. i see this a lot as a gift. also a small compact of makeup to use that day instead of paying or having someone else do your makeup it saves on money.

  3. Put large amounts of tissue paper inside.  Really, you are doing a nice thing here.

  4. Maybe try wrapping the gifts.  That will definitely take up more room!

  5. Beach Towels, they are fairly large, and are starting to go on sale as summer is ending and winter items are on there way into the stores.

    - Beach Towels

    - Flip Flops

    - T-Shirt

You could also wrap the gifts individually, including the tote, that way you don't have to try and "fill" each bag. That sounds like it is getting pricey!

  6. How about flip flops for the girls to wear at the reception?

And snacks/water for the day! You ALWAYS get hungry after a long day

  7. Try this site  www.aweddingfavorite.com  They have some really good & unique ideas.  Love the tote bag idea!

  8. go to www.orientaltrading.com and click on the wedding section. they have a vast and affordable selection of things. if you have a dollar tree store near you go there as well, they've got great stuff!!!

btw I am so for the flip flop idea for the reception. as a past bridesmaid and bride comfort is key!!!!

  9. My friend did this and she put flip flops for the reception, our jewelry, and a shampoo and conditioner set (she is a hair stylist).  You could put a picture frame ( for a wedding party pic), A spa set, hair spray, bottle of wine or champagne. It sounds like you already have a lot in the bags, I would be satisfied with what is already in them.

  10. I like the other person's flip-flop idea, and the tissue as filler.  Is this the only gift? Or are you also doing the typical jewelry for the wedding, etc?  All those items could go in the bag too. Maybe a bottle of wine, that would add lots of weight and height to the bag.

  11. I was thinking of giving out umbrellas as party favours at my wedding. They'd be practical if it rains, obviously, and it looks like you're mostly giving them practical things that might come in handy on the wedding day itself. Umbrellas are fairly large, and you can get a cheap one for just a few dollars.

  12. flip flops, picture frames, magnetic list pads, a little journal book with a pen, lip gloss
