Bridge Honcho to declare dominance in the Coral Sussex – Heat 1

The favourite for the first heat of the Coral Sussex is the lightly raced two-year-old blue dog, Bridge Honcho. The 515 metres flat race will be held at Hove on Thursday, 19th July. Flying down from their gates to the wire are six contestants
who will fight for the £175 prize money.
Competing alongside Bridge Honcho will be Dilemmas Duke, Fortunata, Hugo You Go, Monlena Rumble and Snowdon Tommy.
Hondo Black’s two-year-old blue son raced five times through the career and has won straight three, striking a career’s very first hat-trick. His career debut was on 28th April in the Larry Dunne 525 Round 1 Heat 1 at the Shelbourne Park over
525 yards.
The race was won by Tyrur Domingo while Bridge Honcho was declared not raced.  The two-year-old won the first race of the season on 21st June, 2012 at Coventry over 485 metres. After breaking from the fourth stall, the blue dog fell into an early
pace and then led from the first position, timing the track distance in 29.56 seconds.
He won by the margin of 3 ½ lengths and set Garlyn Rocky as the runner-up.
The two-year-old out of b***h, Forest Baby, then bagged a 515 metres race at Hove on 28th June, 2012 at Hove. He raced away quickly, closed in on the distance from the middle and then led for the remaining distance. Bridge Honcho made it to the
other end of the wire in 29.98 seconds and won by a margin of 9 ¼ lengths.
On 5th July, the two-year-old won the Coral Maiden (Duplicated) at Hove over 515 metres. The start from the fifth gate was not as smooth as the previous attempts but he composed the form and then was the first one to lead, resting the race in
29.70 seconds and winning by the margin of 2 ½ lengths.
Bridge Honcho then finished third in the Coral Hove Standard – Dup on 15th July, 2012 at Hove over 515 metres. The race was won by Droopys Vito in 29.79 seconds while the blue dog concluded the race in 30.03 seconds.
His chances for winning tonight stand at 6 to 4.
