Bridge Ruth facing weak opposition in Coral Hove Ladies at Hove
Despite several concerns over her current form, we don’t hesitate to declare Bridge Ruth as clear-cut favourite for Thursday’s Coral Hove Ladies at Hove. We are backing her, because she looks irresistible against a very weak opposition in today’s 515 metres
race.
After running a few good races in defeat at Wimbledon, the blue b***h went to Romford, where he showed some fire in the trials last month. She impressed everyone by winning a trial run by staggering 6¾ lengths.
After such a wonderful effort, everybody was expecting her to do the damage in her last run a few days back. The M. Wallis-trained disappointed her fans, and finished fourth on the table.
She showed good early pace, but got badly crowded at the first bend. While she was trying to recover, another mess came to her way. She got bumped at the second bend, and looked completely helpless afterwards.
It is injustice to judge her on the last defeat. The daughter of Hondo Black is capable of bigger achievements. All she needs to spark is to deliver her level best. This is a far weaker opposition, and therefore one can easily expected her to do something
special.
Among the rivals are: Forest Mollie, Aughacasla Suzi, Ballycowen Meg, and Cutie Beauty. The flat race is scheduled to begin at 22:11 GMT. The ultimate champion will walk away with a handy prize of 175 pounds.
Ballycowen Meg will be staying on as others begin to falter. The white and black b***h is running well, but in defeat. On her previous venture here, S. Cahill’s charge was fourth on the table.
It would be no great surprise to see Aughacasla Suzi go well. The black and white b***h is full of momentum after a nice solo run. Forest Mollie has chances, if the memory of the latest run can be erased. After winning an open race, the black b***h completely
lost her direction, and ended up fifth last time around.
This is far tougher race than Cutie Beauty has generally contested. The fawn b***h is unlikely to do well on this huge step up in class. Good luck to all the hounds.
