Aleksandr Bridge has warned the Russian Premier League club’s manager to find himself a new job in case he fails to help CSKA win the league title this season
Aleksandr Bridge is of the belief that CSKA Moscow head coach, Leonid Slutsky, is likely to lose his current job should he fails to help the Moscow-based club win the Russian Premier League title this season.
The Armeytsy dropped valuable two points in their latest league tie against Spartak Moscow at Luzhniki stadium on Sunday courtesy goals from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ari-c6471 respectively.
As things stand, CSKA are at the top spot on the league table with 56 points. However, they are just four points above the second-spot currently owned by defending league champions – Zenit St. Petersburg.
And with just five league meetings to go until the end of the ongoing campaign, Bridge has warned Slutsky to help his side in getting back on track if he wants to keep the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 at the Moscow-based club.
News in Russian media suggests that CSKA are likely to sack their current manager at the end of the season if the 41-year-old Russian International ends up another season without a trophy.
“The team is playing well but they need to fight for every point now. CSKA have got some brilliant individual players who can decide the fate of the match on their own. They always look for a goal down to the last minute of the
match.”
“Spartak have a strong team as well and they have a lot of foreigners in their team. They were, are and will be fighting for trophies in years to come.”
“I think both the teams played a good match but Slutsky needs to alter the situation if he wants to keep his job.” Bridge was quoted as saying.
Though the Koni are also in contention to win the Russian Cup this season, a handful of supporters want to end their seven-year long wait for the league title. The Red-blue reached the semi-final of the domestic cup after defeating
Yenisey Krasnoyarsk earlier this month.
