Briggs & Stratton go kart engine upgrade HELP!

I need a good cheap way to increase my Briggs & Stratton go kart engine form 5 horsepower to at least 7 or 10 horses. I only paid $50 for the go kart so I really don't want to spend a lot on it so for all I know it could break down tomorrow. Now I want to add horse power so I can drive the go kart on almost any terrain without getting stuck and I have a huge sprocket on the wheel but I don't know if that is good or not and all I want is a way to upgrade the power. HELP! NO NEW ENGINES PLEASE!
