I live in San Antonio, TX.

Last night i was woken up at 3:00AM by lightning and thunder. As the storm hit us the winds blew hard (knocking branches off of trees and even downing a few). The Rain was also very heavy with some amounts of hail. The lightning was pretty intense as well.

I was staring out the window and a lightning bolt hit the ground nearby followed by loud thunder, as soon as the thunder dissipated, A bright green light lit up across the sky for a second but there was no sound. Both my mom and my brother saw it as well.

What the heck was that??

  1.  Cool well I just witnessed the same exact thing.....except the skies were clear

  2. I just saw this last night here in Belleview, FL. It most definitely was NOT a transformer blowing because I saw it several times within an hour or two during the course of the storm. The lightning included in the storm was actually happening about 6 to 10 miles north of me. Every time it happened my power flickered off & back on. It was really strange and kinda scared me the first couple of times it happened but then I realized it was no big deal. It was actually very beautiful!
