I have dark brown hair right now, and am wanting to put teal-ish and purple streaks in it.

Where should I place them in order for it to not be overwhelming?

  1. it all depends on your facial shape. If you are wanting something that is going to take away from your cheeks (ex:round or diamond shaped faces) you'll want to stay away from framing the face with heavy frontal high lights. you'll want to stick to the mo-hawk section. which is the very middle of your hair. have your  beautician weave it heavy through the mo hawk giving you good coverage of color mixed with enough of you natural. If you have a oval or rectangular face frame away!! have your stylist go heavy in the front it will bring a softer shape to your face and high light your best facial features. now it you have a heart or square or triangular face shape i recommend going heavy in the bang area. or even completely coloring your bangs the doing a very light weave on the outer layer of hair. doing this will create a really Multi dimensional effect to your hair and also high light your eyes. good luck to you!!

  2. do the peek-a-boos on the sides and the back. this means that your top half is your hair color while you will have the bright streaks on the underneath, no one will be able to see your roots when it grows out and it looks great. i have a platinum blonde streak on each of side.
