I have the Florida Medillion scholarship. It pays 75% of my tuition. DOes anyone know if I can somehow do something to go up to the top scholarship? I've been in College for over a year. So I don't know if I would have to take the ACT again or what. Plus I don't know if I"m allowed. Well Anyways...I was just wondering because that would be awesome! :) lol

THanks

  1. Bright Futures scholarships are based entirely on your high school academics - the key language is "eligibility requirements must be met prior to high school graduation from a Florida high school"

You can't improve your standing once you have completed high school - in fact, the only thing you CAN do is lose eligibility (based on poor college grades)

The requirements for the Florida Academic Scholars Award are as follows:

    3.5 weighted GPA

Composite score of 1270 on the SAT I or 28 on the ACT

(note that the SAT and ACT composite does not include the writing score)

The medallion award requires a 3.0 weighted GPA, and much lower standardized test scores. By the way, the Medallion Award does cover 100% of tuition at a community college.

    I hope that helps.
