Question:

Bright spots in eyes?

by  |  earlier

For some reason, I am seeing bright spots as if I looked at the sun or a bright light for too long. I didn't do either of these, yet my vision is being compromised with these spots. It's been going on for about 5 mins now.

Has anyone had this happen without looking at something bright?

Or, does anyone know what else can cause this?

  1. You should get a dilated eye exam TODAY... you could potentially have a retinal hole/tear/detachment.

  2. One Ticket To The Docters ... QUICK !

  3. Blood pressure problems cause this.  Go to your GP and get checked out x*x

  4. Go to the doctor.

  5. Time for a trip to your friendly neighborhood ER, if you cannot get an extremely urgent appointment with an ophthalmologist.

Any scotoma, but especially those that arise suddenly, are a very serious emergency.
