Brighton: parking near the Pier?

Question

Me and a few friends are driving to Brighton on Thursday. We usually get the bus, apparently parking is quite expensive, does anyone know where there are good car parks or streets we can park on near the pier? Street names or Car park names or a road nearby so we can SatNav it?

Russell square multi story car park is quite near,when you leave your car just walk down to the seafront and the pier is nearby,the parking charges are not too bad and you wont get a ticket or clamped !

If you turn left at the pier there is a massive carpark!  It's literally next to the pier and it's never full!

The cheapest by far will be Churchill Squear Mall car park up West Street. I think that up to 2 hours is £2 and it goes up £1 every hour and it's £25 for 24 hours, I'm sure it was something like that but deffo the cheapest nearest the pier unless youwanna keep going back to your car and sticking tickets to your window every 3 hours!
