Question:

Bringing Canon Rebel XTi on board Singapore Airline?

Just wondering will I be able to bring my Canon Rebel XTi (Canon EOS 400D) on board as a carry on Singapore Airline? I checked their website and it only says:

All airline members of the International Air transport Association (IATA) have agreed to observe the following baggage regulations. You may carry on board the articles listed below free of charge over and above your free baggage allowance:

A lady’s handbag

An overcoat

An umbrella or walking stick

A laptop or notebook computer

A small camera

I'd only bring 1 lens (the lens kit that came with the camera) and the bag. Will this be ok? I'd hate to pack it inside a suitcase as a checked in luggage.

Oh and I'll be flying from Jakarta, Indonesia to China. Thanks!

  1. That is an automated message never helpful. Lets put it this way if it fits on as a carry-on and doesn't have water or a weapon on it, it will go through. I brought a PS3 on board a plane and i got threw will very little problems. So the camera should be fine.

And just as a heads up try to bring on the plane as little film as possible. Pack the film but bring the camera with you. Have a nice flight.

  2. You'll be fine.

I've gone through the airport with my carry-on bag, my tote bag and a huge camera case 18"x10"x10" roughly and no one even batted an eye.
