Bringing a dog from the USA to El Salvador?

I am moving to El Salvador next year. I have a 4pound dog that I want to bring with. Does El Salvador quarrantine dogs? If so, for how long? How hard of a process is this?

There is no quarantine time for dogs and cats into El Salvador provided that all the guidelines are met and an import permit has been obtained prior to your arrival.

Good Luck with that. If youre dog ever needs company you can pick one up from the local streets. They roam free overthere.

I had a relative that brought her dog to El Salvador and the puppy got very sick and she paid a lot of money to veterinarians...
