Question:

Bringing baby to church?

My husband and I don't currently have a church we attend. But we do have an 11 month old daughter and I'd like to start going, but I don't really want to put her the nursery or daycare there. Would people be offended if I brought her to the service? I would most definitely plan on excusing myself if she got loud or fussy.

  1. no, it's perfectly alright to bring your baby. churches are very family friendly. they WANT you to come with your baby.

  2. No there are alot of people that I have seen in churches that do not take their baby to the nursery.

  3. In our church, most of the young families sit toward the back.  That way if a baby or more likely a toddler gets rowdy, it is easier to slip out.  The kids are absolutely welcome.  In fact we old farts enjoy them tremendously!  You might call the minister at the church you are planning to attend and ask about their policy. Good luck, and God Bless!
