Bringing subway on a flight?

im flying NWA to new york in about 2 hours. I wanted to know if we were allowed to bring subway sandwiches before we board the flight. that means buying it from outside and taking through security, are there any heat sensors in the screening checking things that you have to put it through, cause the sandwhich might be hot.

cannot bring it through security !!! no food at all . but they most always have a subway or a quizno's after security in the airport anyhow thats what i always get and i fly alot!  always the cheapest thing in the airport

According to TSA's website (www.tsg.gov) food is not prohibited from being carried on. Drinks are not allowed, but sandwiches and other food is OK.

I have been taking sandwiches on planes for years, but I make my own on the outward legs.

You can take food on a flight, just not drinks. All drinks must be purchased after going through security.

You have to go through security first and once your inside they usually have a subway that you can buy and take on the flight

you can't bring food or drinks through security but once you pass security check you can buy food and drinks at the airport shops after security check point. there is usually always a subway and/or quiznos so just buy it once you pass security or you can jsut eat it before passing security but if you wanted to bring it on the plane to eat jsut buy it after passing security.
