A massive unbeaten partnership between http://www.senore.com/Cricket/OA-Shah-c2134 led the Hobart Hurricanes to a comprehensive 8-wicket victory over Brisbane Heat, in their game during the ongoing Big Bash League, played at the Gabba on December 9.

provided a late burst and played a blitz of an innings, smashing 22* off 8 deliveries. His unbeaten 30-run partnership with skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/JR-Hopes-c1744 (9*) eventually got Brisbane Heat up to a final total of 172.
The Hurricanes, however, successfully chased down the target with a series of three steady partnerships, while Hopes and Cutting remained the only bowlers in Heat’s arsenal who managed to claim any wickets at all (one each).
Openers http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adrian-Roger-Kirshaw-Pierson-c42135 it out for a little longer, and joined Player of the Match Travis Birt for a 30-run
stand, before he was caught out by Hopes off Cutting.
Birt took the majority of the responsibility upon himself, and his unbeaten 57-run contribution put the Hurricanes on steady ground. He was joined by Owais Shah (36*), and their unbeaten 95-run stand for the third wicket enabled their team to reach 175 comfortably,
with 8 wickets and 6 balls remaining.
