Brisbane International wins the best sports event in Annual Queensland Sports Awards – Tennis News
On the eve of Thursday, the 18th Annual Queensland Sports Awards ceremony was conducted at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The season-opening event hosted by the name of the Brisbane International was chosen as the best sports event in the Queensland in that award distribution ceremony.
It was a major honour for the whole team of the Brisbane International organizers who has worked so hard to make it such a successful event in the town. Almost all of the big guns in male and female categories are taking part in the next edition of the tournament
which will commence on the New Year eve.
Tournament Director, Cameron Pearson stated, “It’s a great honour for the Brisbane International to receive this award. This is the second time we’ve been named the Queensland Sport Event of the Year, the first was in 2009 the inaugural year of the Brisbane
International. This award is for everyone involved in the tournament from the tennis fans, players, volunteers and staff. They have all played an important role in making this the best event in Queensland.”
He praised the spectators in the press conference as well. He added, “Our fans make this event so special. We are always trying to ensure we deliver a great experience for them. The Brisbane International is much more than just a tennis tournament. It’s
an event that has something for everybody.”
