Brisbane or melbourne

which city is the best city to move to for construction work and lifestyle?any help

I find that quite a difficult question to answer. I love Melbourne and think it's the best city in Australia in many ways, but the weather is pretty awful and their economy isn't doing too well either. If you can ignore the weather, Melbourne's a great city with fantastic nightlife, dining out, shopping and cultural pursuits and it's the sporting capital of Australia as well. I don't know too much about their economy ATM, but I do know that it lags well behind Brisbane's and that will affect the amount of construction.

I live in Brisbane and the weather here is fantastic pretty well all year around. It's much warmer in winter and not as hot in summer and it doesn't drizzle for days on end like in Melbourne. The lifestyle here is great with good nightlife and dining out and the sport and culture are not too bad,either, though not on the same level as in Melbourne. Of course, we also have the Sunshine Coast 1 hour to the north and the Gold Coast 1 hour to the south to add to Brisbane's appeal.

Brisbane's economy is booming. House construction is slowing to a degree as interest rates rise, but there are still thousands of overseas and interstate immigrants arriving every month and they all need somewhere to live. Commercial and apartment block construction is strong and is evidenced by dozens of cranes on the skyline. There's also a huge amount of infrastructure construction happening with a number of bridges and tunnels being built right now or planned for the near future.

I think I'll advise Brisbane as the best all round choice, but it's a close run race.

Brisbane is currently building lots of very large apartment buildings in the CBD and we have better weather and beaches

I've lived in both cities and enjoyed both but if I had to chose it would be Brisbane.
