I presume you want Brisbane to Dubbo direct?

Brisbane to Dubbo direct is not possible. You have to go down to Sydney on the North Coast XPT, then up to Lithgow on a Cityrail public train and then link to Dubbo from Lithgow. Failing that, you'll need to catch a coach from Lithgow to Dubbo. Total travelling time: >15 hours.

Best advice for this? Catch a Greyhound bus from Brisbane to Melbourne via Dubbo as it only takes about 12 and a half hours. Best thing is to confirm this with Greyhound Australia before booking your ticket. See timetable link below (Greyhound Australia) for times.

I just asked my dad...lolz and he thinks it takes about 6 hours. Hope this helps. =)
