Seem like an odd statement? This "decision" that her mother is trying to take away from everybody else they are using as a positive thing?

  1. When a minor becomes pregnant - she becomes emancipated.  She gets to make the decision about the baby.  Mom doesn't get to sign anything or make any decisions for her daughters.  It has to work that way so abortion-rights advocates can say the daughter made her own decision to abort.........................

Legally, it's Bristol's decision and nobody elses.

  2. Nothing is making sense.  They are all a bunch of hypocrits.  Obama all the way !

  3. It is odd. If you are pro-life like McCain and Palin there is no decision to be made. You have the baby.

As far as keeping or adopting - it was probably made on her own with the understanding that if she were going to give it up she would have been kept in hiding and the pregnancy never revealed.

  4. Being pro-life doesn't automatically mean you want Roe v wade overturned.  But, yes, we encourage women to 'choose' life.  I'm sure there was never any question of whether or not Bristol Palin was going to kill her baby.  They are a pro-life family.  She made her choices to have s*x, to have unprotected s*x.  Now she'll make due being a young mother.
