Britain is so quick to moan over the costs of petrol but we do little to inform on dole cheats and that costs.

... us far more than the rise in petrol. The number of people faking sickness has risen sharply and so the bill will rise and the working people of Britain pay for that. How do you feel about this? & have you ever informed social security about a dole cheat?

i have never informed on anyone, none of my business and i do not know who is getting it and who is not.

But the point is the Iraq unwanted war has cost us far many more billions than any social security expenditure.  Plus the rising oil prices is due to our govt bungling all over the world! Especially the wars they created and now we have all these crunches looming in on us. And they said oil will be cheaper! The liars in power!

Did you hear about the millions the MP's and Mep's are siphoning off the government money? Don't you agree someone should be telling on these cheats, including the PM's various bills paid out of the Govt coffers.

These are ppl earning extremely handsome money already and they are cheating us!!

You know this for a fact? Sounds like right wing tabloid nonsense to me. Dole is slang for unemployed, the sick aren't unemployed. The UK has the toughest tests for incacpicity in Europe. people claiming to be sick are seen bot only by their own GP but also doctors in the employ of DWP, all these doctors agree to their incapacity benefit; I take it they are really good at faking it then? Perhaps the medical professional involved in the decision making process are actually highly trained and qualifed and able to make determination on ill health slightly better than ill informed tabloid prattle. There are millions of pounds more from unclaimed benefits in the UK per year than there are fraudlent cases.

The government are to blame for both of these things costing the normal hardworking tax payer shed loads of money every year. All the political parties are the same they say they will do things and then when they get into power, they do the complete opposite.

Petrol effects us all, but the cheats on the dole only effect those that are not claiming something

Yes, I have called the tax office for a tax cheat, and called the soc. security years ago about someone who I knew well that was working, claiming and living the high life, in both cases  THEY DID NOTHING!!!!

I'm not sure i see any relationship between dole cheats and fatcat oil producers. The price of oil affects the price of many other consumer articles as well. As the price of oil rises, the price of other goods and comodities rises as well, leading to larger inflation rates and hardship on the average Joe. The people that gain from the increases already have enough money to be in the top 1% of the wealthiest people in the world.

    In contrast to that you have the dole cheat who is in the bottom 1% financially. They probably cheat the system out of necessity.

     I have to take issue with your claim that the number of cheats has risen sharply. Can you prove that?

     Lastly, I don't think that you have the professional qualifications that would enable you to differentiate between a legitimate and a "fake" illness.

Benefit Fraud cost the tax payer £700million in 2007

Yes I have informed of a benefit cheat, I work for benefits but it had to go through our fraud team, they were found guilty and had to pay back every penny.

The govenment are fighting back, from October 2008 Incapacity benefit will be replaced with ESA (employment Support Allowance) anyone who is sick and claiming this will be subject to interviews to assess what work they are capable of or they will be expected to take reasonable steps to return to work, see the link below

true, i got laid off from a job thought and tried signin on and they said my gfs maternity wage of 400 pm was enough for us 2 and 2 kids to live on..

so i guess they are doing this because of the cheats
