Can anyone tell me if the Britax Boulevard car seat is available for use in Canada? It seems to have an amazing rating, and I am having trouble finding it.

  1. No. The Boulevard is not technically for sale in Canada. However, I would feel comfortable (if possible) getting one from the US and using it Canada b/c it has the exact same seat shell as the MArathon, which is already approved there. The only difference between the seat is the features. As for rating, not sure where you're getting the amazing rating, unless its from consumer reviews which is possible, but crash test ratings are not released to the public. The only ratings released at all are the NHTSA's yearly ease of use ratings, which can sometimes be misleading. One thing to consider with the Boulevard - it is an awesome seat, just like the Marathon and Decathalon, however, many kids refuse to sit in it b/c of the one feature that makes if fabulous - the head wings. Some kids just can't stand them. Others don't mind. So you'd definitely want to tote your child across lines to try it out before goign to the expense of purchasing one.

The Marathon is just as good, though, just minus a couple features like the infinite adjust-no rethread harness. But that has a drawback, you get a smidge less growing room with that harness (makes the top position about 16.5 inches instead of 17 inches, means they'll outgrow it a little sooner.

  2. Yes it is and yes it should be approved, try this site.
