British Commonwealth Citizen Passport

Question

Can Citizens of the Commonwealth of Nations be issued a British Passport? For example, if I'm a Canadian citizen, can I apply for a British passport with the designation of commonwealth citizen? i don't want to live or work in the UK or anything, I just travel to Israel and the Middle East alot and need a 2nd valid passport as Passport Canada does not issue more than one valid passport

Only citizens of UK can be issued a British passport.

British Passport has three categories only

1) British Citizens.

2) British Overseas Citizens. (with sub caterogry of: BOC subject to border control)

3) British Subjects.

Only British citizens have "Right to Abode" in UK.

& a Canadian (or a common wealth citizen excluding British citizen) doesn't come under any category. So answer to your questions is unfortunately "NO".
