Is there something in the small print (wherever that is). Is it 28 days? A year?

  1. you can cancel the switch over anytime within 14 days of agreement, other than that you are only contracted to them for the first 28 days of supply, after supply start date.

  2. i do not care how long they say if I was with them i would jump.Maybe if everyone did they would all stop shoving there prices up.

  3. It depends on what sort of contract you're on.

If you're on some of the Standard contracts then it's probably 28 days. That's most likely.

If you've signed up to a special capped rate or some other special offer deal then you might have committed to a 12 month contract, but that would (should) have been made clear to you when you joined it.

  4. 28 days

good luck switching over though, they drag their feet on purpose

  5. I think its fourteen days.

  6. It depends on how long you have been with them so far? i've literally just agreed to switch over to them but after hearing their putting their prices up again i'm thinking NO its best i stay with the 1's i'm with?!! but it does say it takes between 6-8 wks to change over supplier?

  7. no time at all, but it can take 6 weeks for the swap to happen.

Look at moneysaving expert for advice on what to do as BG have put the proces up, but the other will follow too.

  8. You will need to check the terms of the contract for the tariff that you are on. If it is capped, you may be tied to them until a specified date, if not it is normally 28 days.
