British Gas price fix to 2011?

Is BG's offer to freeze their customer's charges until 2011 a good offer bearing in mind that prices could conceivably fall (though unlikely) and a £70 cancellation fee if you wish to move to another supplier?

  1. Much of rural Scotland does not have mains gas. It is an advertising ploy of the company to call themselves "British" when they are, in reality, an "English" company. Their price "fix" is another advertising ploy. In fact, no even a ploy, more a fix.

Mind, you better sign up now, because when Scotland gets its independence, we will wreak revenge on the English by hiking up the price of oil and gas. Yes, the oil is ours - Scottish, not English!

  2. Depends on how much you spend on gas.  Will you save at least 70 during the next year with the price fix?  If so, it sounds good.
